Ferrari Is a Fashion Brand

Ferrari Is a Fashion Brand
Few brands can easily be on both the racetrack and the runway. Ferrari can.

We all know Ferrari sells supercars.

But did you know it also sells clothes?

It has:

It’s like any other fashion brand. Because it is a fashion brand.

I know what you’re thinking: clothes from a car company??

Odd, yes. But at a certain point, a brand gets so big and famous with such an aura around it that it can’t help but extend.

To lend its name to other things outside of its core business.

But it makes sense.

If you’re like me, Ferrari means:

  • high performance
  • cool design
  • status

It’s understandable that these attributes and the famous brand are carried over to other items, like…

A $7,800 backgammon set.
Or a $740 silk velvet scarf.

The backgammon set and scarf in question

Those are real things the company sells.

They’re crazy expensive but that’s sort of the point. They add to the brand’s air of exclusivity.

It’s no different than Tiffany & Co. selling cushions.
Or Hermès selling ashtrays.

In the market for a $1,150 cushion? How about an $840 ashtray?

That Ferrari scarf? Someone out there will buy it.

And even if no one does, the clothes and the fashion shows get people talking.

Just like me with this post.

That’s the power of a strong brand.
Ferrari is one of the strongest.
